Adversarial labor negotiations can damage work relationships and jeopardize productivity in private industry as well as in the public sector. At the Center for Resolution of Disputes, experienced mediators offer training for bargaining representatives from both labor and management to develop the collaborative problem-solving skills needed for effective negotiations. Our staff also facilitates the bargaining process and mediates when needed to reach agreement to produce a collective bargaining agreement. This work has primarily been done in the public sector, particularly with school boards and teacher organizations.
